JDMtas Meet Photos.

JDMtas (Japanese Track & Street) are still going strong, With the monthly meets held the first Sunday of each month its getting big.

Here’s some shots from the Sept meet we held. We ended up taking over part of the upper level and had security out numerous times. After the usual catch up sesh, photo bash and look see, we take a wonder in down stairs for a coffee followed by some food, be it at yO Sushi, Frankies, or just where ever people see fit!

Last night seen the October meet. Not as big as last month but still good to meet up with people again and see some new cars on the scene like the new s15 rolling round Aberdeen and Leith’s GT4. We popped down for some spanking burgers and pizza with pints in Frankies.

Great meet, thanks to all who showed up :D

JAE 2010

Here’s JAE in photos from how I seen the weekend. Or didnt as the case may be.

The JAE Weekender, Something we as a group have been going to for a long time now! First off joining other clubs such as the Honda Tech UK stand, The Lexus Owners club and then finally a few years ago; The first ‘Minty Fresh’ stand! Last year we went under the JDMtas name and we took home the gold for Best club of the show 2009!

We entered again this year under JDMtas and had a cracking time away! Spawned over several days down in sunny Kettering, We started our long wekeend off with an early morning wake up call on the Thursday. With about 30+ members we took sale to the roads and begun our 9 hours drive south!

The drive didnt take too long to be honest, or it didnt seem so. There was pretty much no break downs or problems other than some people falling behind, others getting off at the wrong services or missing their turn off and the likes, but it was rather smooth.

We got to JAE to find, There was no ‘Low Bawler Entrance’ which we had been promised from last year.. so the MX5 got stuck on several speed mountains, which was a shame and didnt do my sump any favours!

For those who didnt go, you missed a fair weekend – There cant be much more said about this event, other than JDMtas getting 2 black flags by the Friday… Sorry John! First being with Dan doing some sideways entrance as he finally got down.. the second with my reversing into a fellow club’s banner. Bad times, however bills were paid, hands were shook and we got on with the weekend! Was a cracker of a time!

This car right here did it for me – Once id seen this, All other cars just seemed tame. A Toyota Chaser JZX100. The only 100 at the show and i fell in love! Rest as you see it!…

A visit to SCARAB, Japan.

So im up near Yashio with Neal cruising the suburbs of Tokyo in his R33 GTR V-Spec.. After stopping off at a few local Up Garages, we head on out towards a friend of Neals… SCARAB.

Local car garage ran by two of the nicest dudes you could meet. After taking an interest into the gorgeous RX7 FC3S, Saki decides to start shifting cars… Fired up the 420hp Rotary and out she came.

You can see the blue FD sitting there – This was their company famous car sort to speak. I actually spotted this at the Daikoku meet, and met the owner there.. turns out, he owns this place!.. This Rex is set up for grip, with the odd drifto drifto hear and there.

This was my first time in an FC, And I loved it.. so much so, I may be picking this up when im next up that direction.. who knows. Im sure you’ll all agree… epic.

After some runs up and down the river key we finished our Coffee’s and Neal passed me the keys to the GTR.. Off we went for the night, Headed over to Tomo’s bar.. and had an Epic night with Saki, Tomo and Neal. ‘That night I joined the brotherhood’ ..

Introducing.. Naho’s 14 Kouki.

Im proud to show you this super clean Nissan Silvia s14 Kouki (Known as the s14a back home) owned a Chiba local, Her name.. is Naho.

Naho works at one of the Autobac’s stores in Tokyo, A Native to the Chiba drift scene.. and you can tell with taking a glance at some of the choice mods done to this Super Sonic machine.

As you can see, It sports a full Vertex kit, polished with a full re-spray, which may.. or not be, Impreza blue..

I had met Naho a few years ago from the Autobacs store, When I seen her this year she asked if I was the one with the Ichigo. Got speaking and I found she had this gem at home! I needed to snap some photos! :D

She had kindly offered to run me to the airport! Which was epic, considering I had almost gotten to the point of breaking with so many trains! So I jumped at the offer. My 2 American friends were waiting to see this Kouki too. On the dot of 11.. Leon shouting.. ‘YO MINT! .. I think that drift girls here’

When she got here with Tetsu, They decided the HKS Hi-Power was too silent.. so out with the bump. Full HKS System, Enkie wheels, drift button, various gauges, Ohlin suspension and a 1.5 way diff.. What more could a girl want? :)

Thank you so much for the lift! And I’ll see you guys in August! Oh and the secret’s safe ^^~~

Time for sleep – Track day tomorrow!

Oyasumi ~_~

p.s. TK is gonna kill me when he see’s what time this is being posted at… summimasen ><‘

As old as un update

Sorry for the lack of content guys – Been so damm busy over the last 3 weeks, finding some kinda time to sit down on this computer and get photo’s editted as been slim. Iv been spending days going over the salon pics.

Here’s a few snaps for now. While in Okinawa, I was out looking for the Autobacs I had spotted on the Monorail. While getting off on the wrong stop I started walking in the general direction to which I guessed it was.

After a while of no Joy, I spotted a sweet looking little garage, then noted this beaut sitting looking all worn.

I asked the guys for directions in Japanese and they were a little stumped, Probally due to the fact it was so poor possibly? Anyway, I took interest in this little Datsun. As soon as I took the camera out, The bonnet was off and we we went over the whole contents of the bay and interior.

This thing was a full restoration for a good customer for them. Loved it – Packed up my bag, and on I trecked to find this peace of an RX7 sitting parked up.. mmm.

Also found this beat looking 14 sitting outside a Japanese curry house.

And eventually I found my point. Been shipping a good load of stuff over sea’s over the previous weeks – Went to Upgarage today to collect some super Tyte wheels for the Miata. Those will be shipped out tomorrow morning. WIN!
