Its that time of year again..

Well thats the first drop of snow now hitting the little village of Alford once again. The MX will be moved into the drive way as of tomorrow, and wont be out to play unless its for some late night streeto bashings.

Of course with the snow usually comes lots of other things, such as bad driving, many accidents, delayed flights, terrible road conditions and of course last but not least Mr good ol’ Santa J Claus. I was looking through some photo’s today archived under ‘random’ and came across some pictures from when I sent myself home some gifts to open .. from UP Garage, Japan.

Or something like that ;) Im off back to Japan shortly for another stunt, some more shopping and some drifting. I plan on heading to visit some garages chiba based to get an insight on some of the worlds most famous cars on the scene at the moment – So keep tuned.

Iv babbled on before about UP Garage alot before, so i’ll try restrain myself. For those not in the know, UP Is a chain of stores based through out Japan. They deal with second hand car parts and of course the usual found new ‘tat’ most would title, they’d likely to see in their own Halfrauds. Some title the place ‘Mark UP!’ with some of the prices being pretty crazy, and op for places such as Cyrstal or Yellow Hat. However in my experience, UP hasnt let me down so far.. and i’ll spent alot of wedge on their stuff! Including the rims im rolling on.

Im a little un interested in what others have to think about things like this, Iv been to Yellow Hat and Cyrstal and I far prefer UP!

This little pick up belong’d to the owner of this Tokyo Based UP and the 14 was his co-worker. I got speaking to them both and they told me the pickup is drifted alot, hard. Thats what I like to hear.

Can ya guess what it is yet? :) One of the many boxes exported home full to the brim with Japanese toys and parts.. For cars I dont even own haha.

So anyway – With the snow now falling, snowboard season is upon us and we have hills to ride. Take care to all out there driving these conditions, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas!

Minto San

YOKOHAMA Super Autobacs, Only a few trains away from Tokyo station, Its well worth the trek. Ian had been rabbitin on for years about wanting to go check this place out, So a spare day we had we headed on out.

Located a short walk away from the main station, It’s actually rather tricky to come across. With some help from the locals we found ourselves there.

The selection of parts in this one was massive. Alot more than the one in Shinonome. To get to the Autobacs you have to walk through the Nissan building, being so stoked to get there we just walked on through, So we hit up on route home.

Oh and the girls in this Nissan building, are some of the hottest in the prefecture.. no joke!  Iv got alot more snaps of the Autobacs in various other random locations. I really need to get those Auto Salon pics sorted too.. and edit the skid video from Ebisu too.

Introducing.. Naho’s 14 Kouki.

Im proud to show you this super clean Nissan Silvia s14 Kouki (Known as the s14a back home) owned a Chiba local, Her name.. is Naho.

Naho works at one of the Autobac’s stores in Tokyo, A Native to the Chiba drift scene.. and you can tell with taking a glance at some of the choice mods done to this Super Sonic machine.

As you can see, It sports a full Vertex kit, polished with a full re-spray, which may.. or not be, Impreza blue..

I had met Naho a few years ago from the Autobacs store, When I seen her this year she asked if I was the one with the Ichigo. Got speaking and I found she had this gem at home! I needed to snap some photos! :D

She had kindly offered to run me to the airport! Which was epic, considering I had almost gotten to the point of breaking with so many trains! So I jumped at the offer. My 2 American friends were waiting to see this Kouki too. On the dot of 11.. Leon shouting.. ‘YO MINT! .. I think that drift girls here’

When she got here with Tetsu, They decided the HKS Hi-Power was too silent.. so out with the bump. Full HKS System, Enkie wheels, drift button, various gauges, Ohlin suspension and a 1.5 way diff.. What more could a girl want? :)

Thank you so much for the lift! And I’ll see you guys in August! Oh and the secret’s safe ^^~~

Time for sleep – Track day tomorrow!

Oyasumi ~_~

p.s. TK is gonna kill me when he see’s what time this is being posted at… summimasen ><‘

As old as un update

Sorry for the lack of content guys – Been so damm busy over the last 3 weeks, finding some kinda time to sit down on this computer and get photo’s editted as been slim. Iv been spending days going over the salon pics.

Here’s a few snaps for now. While in Okinawa, I was out looking for the Autobacs I had spotted on the Monorail. While getting off on the wrong stop I started walking in the general direction to which I guessed it was.

After a while of no Joy, I spotted a sweet looking little garage, then noted this beaut sitting looking all worn.

I asked the guys for directions in Japanese and they were a little stumped, Probally due to the fact it was so poor possibly? Anyway, I took interest in this little Datsun. As soon as I took the camera out, The bonnet was off and we we went over the whole contents of the bay and interior.

This thing was a full restoration for a good customer for them. Loved it – Packed up my bag, and on I trecked to find this peace of an RX7 sitting parked up.. mmm.

Also found this beat looking 14 sitting outside a Japanese curry house.

And eventually I found my point. Been shipping a good load of stuff over sea’s over the previous weeks – Went to Upgarage today to collect some super Tyte wheels for the Miata. Those will be shipped out tomorrow morning. WIN!

Daikoku Futo

“Just follow the C1 all the way till you see signs for the C2.. then head off towards Yokohama Park and the k4″… you’ll soon know when you get there.

This was my first time at Daikoku, and I was more than impressed. The amount of cars for the turn out before the Salon was pretty epic! Full of some super sweet rides! All things from super slammed VIP rollers, to Drifto and Grip weapons to the Bosozuka them selfs..

I got a video on the samsung of those guys basically annoying everyone there. What a noise they made! So when the police turned up, they made a scarp and heading back up onto the wangan.

When we left they had all been caught! Well.. thats what we thought, I was speaking to Dino yesterday and word on the street was that one of them fell off their bike.. a passanger, who was 90% likely to be female, So.. thats a bit rubbish.

For those who dont know what Daikoku Futo is. Its basically a giant PA (Parking Area) off the Wangan (Express Way  / Motorway) Which links Tokyo to Yokohama. This is basically the same as a UK Service station on the M6. But 10x the size, and an attraction to all things car related. Many companies / teams and shops organise meets here at Daikoku with some of the biggest names in the market showing face for certain events.

Now though, the police seem to be in force to boot everyone out rather early on.

After the Daikoku meet, Neil asked me to jump back into the Fit and head off up onto the wangan towards Tokyo. We hit up some more PA’s containing some sheer amazing cars, chatting away about how it is to actually live here with jobs, flats and the likes.

Was all a tad odd to me, I mean there was a fully prepped time attack NSX sitting next to me, a time attack FD3S, among a shed load of other amazing cars.. stuff like big single R34’s and then a ‘mint’ condition yellow RX7 rolled up and parked up.. and it just seemed the norm. . . After some more driving and a quick Wangan battle with his R33 v-Spec (he won) we found ourself’s at yet another PA and got some food / drinks, checked out the other cars and then got into some banter with the Japanese lads.

The white 14 you see was owned by Tsuji since 1996. He’s a grip driver running a T28 bb turbine, HKS full Hi-Power system and show’s his stuff up at Ebisu, I showed him the Ichigo to which he approved and we jumped back in and cruised home to the C1 for some tokyo win.

Was the best night of my Japanese experience so far.. off to bed though, Salon’s done with. Not anything amazing imo, worse than last year but was to be expected. Off to Up Garage tomorrow morning then Autobacs (again) then Ebisu drifting on Wednesday with Andy.

So far.. this place, the cars.. the food, the girls, the drifters… the gaijin.. are all full of utter WIN!.. the only let down? Was Nomuken.. that boy’s a bit of twat.

Autobac Attack Part San!

Here’s yet another batch of snaps from the good old Super Autobacs in Tokyo bay.

Starting this gather with this sweet little Miata Roadster.

Random Stingray found roaming the streets of Shinonome, After trying some moving shots in the street we waited for him to roll on up and park for a clear shot.

Hmm banana 3 with a fairlady. Some noice carbon fibre parts too.

This fairlady was hiding under the carpark.. couldnt avoid the Oly though. Remind’s me somewhat of a tamer Tokyo Drift DK version.

Super Clean FD3S sporting some Volks. He’s got my fogs ;)

Every time I see one of these.. I want one more!

Im not actually 100% sure what this car was, but it had CAD stickers on her.. hmm. Fire me a mail if you know.

Nice line up here.. 180sx, Tezza and a Porsche.. brilliant.

Super clean Legacy in getting some work done.

Another Skyline sitting inside the bays here at Autobacs.

Pretty standard looking s15 Spec R.. but damm, That colour is just nuts.

No real fantastic pictures but I do have a soft spot for this colour!

Were unsure what this little thing was, but it was being charged up as the owner was in buying some toys for it.

This JZX110 was too much noice.

Iv been wanting to snap this white thing for a while, finally got a chance to.

Were down in Hiroshima just now watching the new Drift Tengoku Vol.55 DVD. Also got the new Dori Ten Edition mag and the brand new Option 2 mag on release.. the joys of being here.

Weve been back to the Dome and the peace museum today, and tomorrow were heading to the Hiroshima castle.. then going out for a massive party.
