It feels like an age since this site was touched. It was primarily setup for travels and since my wife and I have just left our full time careers, Sold the s15 and shipped over our snowboards. I figured it would be wise to dust off the webs in the corner of this WordPress blog. We decided to pack it in, and go travel this little rock we call earth!
So; we’re back in Tokyo. After a few days recoup time in Amsterdam’s lights of amber red.
Day 1 – UP Garage; Nerima’s Shop.
Wouldn’t be a Japan trip without the UP stop off. I hadn’t been to this one before, and there were a few cool items to be found. Such as some super dishy R Type 16″ Wats in 4×114 flavor. Many a spoiler, seat or intake. Usual UP stuff but no cheap boss white wheels this time..
Going from isle to isle; I was on the look out for any tasty JZX100 parts I could snap up and post home for pete to fit (LMAO!) however most stuff I found.. I already had, or more importantly. Minty.Fresh now produces either out of house, on in house.. Such as full arm kits, RCA’s, Springs etc. Soph did however stumble upon a JZX100 Chaser rear LED light for less than £20.. however; It was a solo unit.
Loads of wings, Aero for all sorts including R35 Aero for dirt cheap!
Some cheap OE S15 tails anyone???
Sweet jesus.. I had to look away.
Some of these snaps were actually taken by Soph on her point and click. We hung around the UP car park to spy on any potentially nice motors. A few people wagons came and went, the odd skyline here and there and a Celica. Amsterdam has no good cars, We were so fed up of seeing all the usual dull euro trash on the roads so we were excited to see some cool Japanese cars.
“Hey Soph; Here’s how you say this… Now go speak to that Skyline owner and snap a pic, Practice your Japanese on him ;)” – Good job soap; She did great! Gonna have her doing all the translating shortly haha. Oh and check out her blog over at Dancing Drifter. Thank you for the photos and sorry for the boss.😦
Prior to our stop, we went roaming the quiet little Tokyo streets to find a certain celiac friendly place to eat (More detail on Sophs blog). Suddenly.. A wild Levin appeared!
Sad to say my Oly e-510 hasn’t been used since the last trip to Japan which would of been 5 years ago at least? So I had to build a time machine and go back to find batteries and cards to suit! However its out and its charging so I can only improve upon my snapping.
One obvious observation this trip round so far, is the flood of Crowns and Mark X’s to hit Tokyo. I mean before they were everywhere, be it with the older model being the pick of the typical Japanese cabby, or the local Koban 5-0. However now.. Every second car on the streets is a Crown, If it isnt.. Its a Mark X. So UK… Prepare for an invasion of bigger Toyota 4 doors coming your way.. Dont say I didn’t warn you :p .Tomorrow should inspire a few more snaps though.. As tomorrow; Is Daikoku, and we have a lift over this time in a JZX100..
