Its been sooooooo long since I have posted on here – I need to change that, Got photos to edit and im off to Japan in August for the Matsuri and the G1GP. More to come on that.
I have been in London with TK – I messed about with some pictures while we were getting drunk.
mmm i miss this. OEM Arch flared… WIN!
YUP! Just got my copy in from Tim in Japan. The March edition, for the Tokyo Auto Salon.
While Tim and myself where waiting for Dino to finish up a shoot at the Veilside stand, Dai Chan’s daughter walked up to him and started to interview him for Option 2 magazine. She asked him ‘Who do you know here at the Salon?’ and he looked up at me and said ‘I know him’..
With that Mamina Chan and a few Option 2 photographers came rushing up and started asking us questions! :p I showed them the boso Miata and they freaked out! They seemed so surprised when I told them I drifted in Scotland.
So I got in this morning to find another parcel sitting for me. Containing this months edition of Option 2. Containing this plug :p
The orange box says : Mint from Scotland. ^_^ Ace.
Well – Its been a while huh! Sorry for the lack of updates, In the time away I have collected a good selection of photos from Japan which should tie me over until the G1GP Event at Ebisu. Enjoi – Mata Ne!
Well thats the first drop of snow now hitting the little village of Alford once again. The MX will be moved into the drive way as of tomorrow, and wont be out to play unless its for some late night streeto bashings.
Of course with the snow usually comes lots of other things, such as bad driving, many accidents, delayed flights, terrible road conditions and of course last but not least Mr good ol’ Santa J Claus. I was looking through some photo’s today archived under ‘random’ and came across some pictures from when I sent myself home some gifts to open .. from UP Garage, Japan.
Or something like that Im off back to Japan shortly for another stunt, some more shopping and some drifting. I plan on heading to visit some garages chiba based to get an insight on some of the worlds most famous cars on the scene at the moment – So keep tuned.
Iv babbled on before about UP Garage alot before, so i’ll try restrain myself. For those not in the know, UP Is a chain of stores based through out Japan. They deal with second hand car parts and of course the usual found new ‘tat’ most would title, they’d likely to see in their own Halfrauds. Some title the place ‘Mark UP!’ with some of the prices being pretty crazy, and op for places such as Cyrstal or Yellow Hat. However in my experience, UP hasnt let me down so far.. and i’ll spent alot of wedge on their stuff! Including the rims im rolling on.
Im a little un interested in what others have to think about things like this, Iv been to Yellow Hat and Cyrstal and I far prefer UP!
This little pick up belong’d to the owner of this Tokyo Based UP and the 14 was his co-worker. I got speaking to them both and they told me the pickup is drifted alot, hard. Thats what I like to hear.
Can ya guess what it is yet? One of the many boxes exported home full to the brim with Japanese toys and parts.. For cars I dont even own haha.
So anyway – With the snow now falling, snowboard season is upon us and we have hills to ride. Take care to all out there driving these conditions, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
Here’s a rather little collection of the latest shots of the MX5. Some taken from JAE and just before it. I’ll let the snaps do the talking!
Really am enjoying this little car now – It drifts really well, and a change from the run of the mill S-body that the drift days seem to fill up with. Some more power and more lock and i think we could be onto a winner here!
AL from Alscarstuff and myself got talking the other night – Were planning on under going some ideas over the winter months, Tubbing the front archs, Engine out and possibly something in its place… the ideas of either a V8, Boosted 20b or even just an SR could be on the cards. Keep tuned to find out.
As for the Japan side of things, myself and the other half plan on getting our TEFL course dialled in before the year is up, and i will be flying back over on the 2nd of January for another short period of time and to check out the 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon. Hopefully weather allowing I should be able to get back up to Ebisu to get some drifting done and up to Misawa to meet up with the Gaijin Drift possy. Word on the street of Mitto coming over to show me some of the low down in good old Osaka aswell. Keep an eye out!
p.s. Theres also a rouge photo for Kyle too :0

In Follow up to yesterday’s post on the Okinawa Garden of Shikinaen, I present to you photo’s of the Shuri Castle, Which is also within Okinawa’s main Island of Naha and one of the biggest tourist attractions to visit.
Upon leaving shikinaen I was told by the gate women to take either bus number 23 or pick up a taxi. Now at the time, the weather was tropical.. I had all the time in the world, with nothing to do and a Olympus camera round my neck.. So i politely thanked the lady, and decided to head on out to begin my epic journey to find Shuri castle.
